CLINICAL GOVERNANCE POLICY

Ramshaw & Silver Dental Practice recognises and accepts its responsibilities to provide care of a high standard which is cost effective, clinically appropriate and delivered with proper regard to the dignity and autonomy of our patients.

Ramshaw & Silver Dental Practice is committed to:

  1. Setting and maintaining high standards in both clinical and non-clinical situations.

  2. Setting and maintaining high standards in Health & Safety.

  3. Setting and maintaining high standards of Cross-Infection Control

  4. Care and monitoring of the whole oral area for our patients.

  5. Discussion of treatment options and costs with our patients and to provide patients with a written estimate of proposed treatment costs.

  6. Consultation with our patients on the services operated by the practice. This will include the use of suggestion books, questionnaires and the Patient User Group meetings. The practice will also operate a Complaints Procedure. We will continue to work towards maintaining our Charter Mark.

  7. Consultation with our staff by holding regular meetings.

  8. Continued Professional Development for all clinical members of the practice. We will participate in Clinical Audit and Peer Review.

  9. Continued training for all staff, appropriate to the needs of the practice and to maintain our Investors In People award.

  10. Monitoring all clinical staff to ensure that safe practice is maintained at all times.
